Sara Ali Khan Opens Up on Family’s Strength After Saif Ali Khan Knife Attack

Actor Reflects on Grace, Strength and Life Lessons Learned During Difficult Phase

Mumbai, Dec 26 : Actor Sara Ali Khan has shared a candid glimpse into her family’s life, recalling the difficult phase they endured earlier this year following a knife attack on her father, Saif Ali Khan. Speaking on her aunt Soha Ali Khan’s podcast ALL ABOUT HER, Sara reflected on the emotional impact of the incident and the strength that helped her family navigate the crisis.

Saif Ali Khan was attacked at his Mumbai residence in January during an alleged robbery attempt, sustaining multiple stab wounds to his back and arm. He underwent immediate surgery and has since recovered.

Describing the period as deeply challenging, Sara said the experience brought the family closer. “We have been through quite a lot together, especially earlier this year with abba,” she shared on the podcast.

During the conversation, Soha asked Sara and their grandmother, veteran actor Sharmila Tagore, about the lessons they have learned from one another. Sara spoke admiringly of her grandmother’s composure and dignity in the face of adversity.

“I have learned that dignity and grace above all else, even in the hardest of times, is important,” Sara said. “Holding yourself together and not letting the situation break you that’s something I really aspire to bring into my own life.”

She added that Sharmila Tagore’s elegance and quiet strength continue to inspire her, both personally and professionally.

On the work front, Sara was last seen in In Dino, a spiritual sequel to the 2007 anthology film Life in a… Metro. The film features an ensemble cast including Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Aditya Roy Kapur, Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh, and explores contemporary relationships in urban settings.

Sara is next set to appear in Pati Patni Aur Woh Do, co-starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rakul Preet Singh and Wamiqa Gabbi.
