Mumbai, Feb 24 : Ravie Dubey, who will portray Lakshman in Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana, and his wife, Sargun Mehta, have been the subject of widespread pregnancy rumours online. Sargun Mehta has now addressed the speculation, firmly rejecting the reports as false.
Taking to Instagram, Mehta mocked the claims that she has been pregnant for the past two years. She wrote, “How do you know about a pregnancy that me and Ravi are unaware about? STOP IT .. KINDLY .” The accompanying image read: “News apparently knows before us about our ‘pregnancy for the last two years’” and urged media outlets to verify facts before publishing.
In a follow-up Instagram Story, Sargun continued her rebuttal, questioning the absurdity of the claims: “Where are these children going, and how fast am I birthing them? Ravi and I don’t even know about this ‘pregnancy.’ Just CALM DOWN and STOP spreading baseless news.” She emphasized that simple confirmation with them or their team could have prevented the misinformation.
About the couple
Ravie Dubey and Sargun Mehta met on the sets of their TV show 12/24 Karol Bagh, dated for several years, and married in 2013. Ravie proposed to Sargun on the dance reality show Nach Baliye 5.
Professionally, Ravie Dubey will appear in Ramayana, alongside Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, set to release during Diwali this year. Sargun Mehta recently starred in Saunkan Saunkne 2 opposite Ammy Virk.
