Akhnoor, 05 August 2025: J&K BJP President Sat Sharma today flagged off a convoy of devotees undertaking the sacred yatra to Baba Budha Amarnath Ji from the historic Kameshwar Mandir in Akhnoor. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from Sadhu Samaaj, pilgrims and party workers who gathered in large numbers to seek blessings before the spiritual journey to the revered shrine in Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma expressed deep reverence for the yatra and said, “Baba Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra is a symbol of our spiritual heritage and unity. It connects the people of different regions through faith, devotion, and cultural pride.”
He added that the BJP government under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has ensured safe, secure, and smooth conduct of pilgrimages across Jammu & Kashmir, strengthening both religious tourism and local economies.
Mahant Rameshwar Das, DDC Chairman Bharat Bhushan, MLA Mohan Lal Bhagat, DDC Vice Chairman Suraj Singh, and District President Kuldeep Raj Sharma were also present during the flag-off ceremony, expressing their best wishes to the pilgrims.
The event was conducted with full traditional fervor, chants, and blessings, marking yet another successful departure of the revered yatra from Akhnoor.
