Samba/Jammu, Oct 11: Security forces in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district have launched an extensive search operation after two Pakistani drones were sighted over forward villages along the International Border, officials said on Saturday.
The drones were reported hovering over Challiyari village in the Ghagwal area and Chamliyal village in Ramgarh late Friday night. In response, the Border Security Force (BSF) cordoned off both areas and, in coordination with local police, initiated search operations to ensure that no weapons or narcotics are being airdropped into Indian territory.
Officials confirmed that the search operations were ongoing when the latest reports were received. Authorities are maintaining heightened vigilance along the border to prevent any security breach.
