JAMMU, Apr 5: A coordinated search operation is in progress in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district after locals reported the movement of suspicious persons in a village late Sunday.
According to officials, a resident from Bedh Khad in the Darui belt noticed three unidentified individuals moving quietly along a dry stream during the night. One of them was seen carrying a large backpack, which raised concern among villagers.
Acting on the information, the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the police, along with units of the Army and paramilitary forces, swiftly launched a joint operation to track down the suspects. Although no weapons were spotted, security agencies are treating the input with seriousness.
Authorities confirmed that extensive searches are being carried out across the village and surrounding areas. However, there has been no direct contact with the individuals so far, and the operation continues.
