Jammu:- Shiv Sena (UBT) and Jammu Kashmir unit of Aam Aadmi Party joined the Dharna-Demonstration going on in Meera Sahib for the last 62 days to save their lands and to give compensation for the lands occupied in the under-construction ring road and extended their support to their demands.
Shiv Sena State Chief Manish Sahni, AAP’s senior leader Safir Chaudhary, and spokesperson Nirmal Mahana said in their address that injustice is being done to the residents of village Bal Sultan of Block Meera Sahib. The administration is forcibly evacuating the lands occupied by them for decades and making them homeless. Along with this, they are not being given compensation for the occupation of their lands under the under-construction ring road. Sahni said that the local residents of the village have been occupied these lands for decades since the time of kings and Maharajas. These people are building their small houses on these pieces of land and are taking care of their families by farming. How can the government make them homeless in one go. Sahni said that the Prime Minister promises to give houses to everyone but the administration of Jammu and Kashmir is busy taking decades-old land of common and poor people under government occupation. At the same time, Safir Chaudhary of Aam Aadmi Party has termed the order declaring decades-old occupation of land as illegal as a dictatorial step. At the same time, Nirmal Mahana said that the government is issuing such orders almost every month which directly affects the life of the common man.
He said that the government should issue orders to protect the life and interests of the poor men and small farmers. He said that action should be taken against the big land mafias instead of common and poor people. On this occasion, local residents Mohammad Arif, Kuldeep Kumar, Comrade Kishore, Om Prakash, Shiv Sena General Secretary Vikas Bakshi, President Kamgar Raj Singh, from AAP sr leader Doctor Rajindra Thapa, Aftab Hussain, Sarfaraz Shah, Om Prakash Khajuria were present.
