Shiv Sena demands ban on “The Kerala Story” in J&K

Jammu :- Shivsena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Jammu and Kashmir unit has demanded an immediate ban on the film “The Kerala Story” in J&K.
In a press conference held at the party state office today, state chief Manish Sahni said that there was a clash between student groups in Jammu over the film, half a dozen students were injured and 10 students were expelled from the hostel for two months.
He said that films are a means of entertainment but when films work to spoil mutual brotherhood and beautification, those films should not be allowed to be screened.
Sahni said that when hate speech comes under the category of crime, then legal action should be taken against those films which are working to make a dent in mutual brotherhood.  Sahni said that the BBC documentary on Gujarat was banned by the BJP, but like  “The Kashmir File” the BJP-ruled state is trying to take political advantage of this film by making it tax-free.
