Jammu/ R S Pura, 16-09-2025: Members of Shiv Sena Hindustan, under the leadership of Jammu and Kashmir President Pandit Rajesh Kesri, staged a protest against the government in village Jangwal, R.S. Pura block. The protest was held due to the lack of basic amenities in the local cremation ground. The protesters demanded the construction of sheds and seating arrangements in the cremation ground to facilitate the performance of last rites. They also demanded the construction of a boundary wall around the cremation ground and other essential facilities.The protesters appealed to the local MLA, Gharu Ram, and MP, Jugul Sharma, to take immediate action to address their demands. They urged the elected representatives to work together to provide basic amenities in the cremation ground, which is a sacred place for the community.
The protest was attended by prominent villagers, including Lambardar Om Prakash, Captain Gharu Ram, Sardar Bayant Singh, Sanjeev Kumar, Raj Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Darshana Devi, and Neeru Devi, among others. The protesters emphasized that the cremation ground is a place of great significance and that the lack of basic amenities is a major concern for the community.The protesters appealed to the authorities to take immediate action to address their demands and provide basic amenities in the cremation ground. They emphasized that this is essential for the dignity and well-being of the community.
