JAMMU:- Shiv Sena (UBT) and Sainik Samaj Party today jointly launched the campaign “Mera Jammu-Kashmir Mera Adhikar” while organizing a first-of-its-kind “Jan-Chopal” in Jammu to listen to the grievances of the people and to express their aspirations, vow of fulfillment people aspirations.
The campaign was started by organizing first of its kind “Jan Chopal” in the public park of Patoli Morh in ward no 34,35 of Jammu , in the presence of several top party leaders including Shiv Sena state chief Manish Sahni and Sainik Samaj Party President Colonel S S Pathania.
In which the local residents took out their anger fiercely on the indifference of the general public from the administrative officials along with undeclared power cuts, huge electricity bills, and irregular drinking water supply, besides registering their presence with great enthusiasm.
Speaking on the occasion Manish Sahni, president Shiv Sena J&K said that the public is fed up with the Lt Governor’s rule. In Jammu and Kashmir, spread over 1,38,124 square kilometers and a population of about 1.25 billion, the Lieutenant Governor is running his reign on the strength of only one advisor. People’s issues are not being heard, and bureaucracy’s arbitrariness and indifference toward the public have increased the distance between the administration and the public.
On the other hand, Col. Pathania said that Jan Choupal, in a democracy, people have a suitable platform to express their problems and grievances for meaningful redressal of various issues. Hearing on public issues stopped after the formation of Union Territory. Which will be tried to speed up through Jan Chaupal under the said campaign.
Sahni said that under this campaign Jan Chopals will be held across the entire JKUT and on the people’s aspirations a joint vision document will be launched.
On this occasion President Mahila wing, Gen Secretary Vikas Bakshi, president Kamghar Raj Singh, social activist Satish Poonchi, Teetu Sehgal, Mamata Devi, Uma Devi,Amrik Singh, Sunil Dutt were present.
