JAMMU, Apr 20: Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Khour celebrated 649th Prakash Utsav of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj and 135th Birth Anniversary of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar under the presidentship of Vikram Singh.
Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri Ji Maharaj, in his spiritual sermons. said Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Dass Maharaj gave importance to education. Guru ji said “Madho Avidhya Hitt keen Vivek Deep Maleen ” Without education we lose wisdom.
Regarding Nasha Mukti, Guru ji said ” Ravi Dass madhira ka pijiye Jo chade Chade utraye, Naam maha ras pijiye Jo chade nahi utraye” Swami ji also threw light on the life and mission of Bharat Rattan Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar. Baba Saheb always stressed for equality. There must be equality among all human beings.
It is pertinent to mention here that Shri Shri 108 Swami Gurdeep Giri ji Maharaj inaugurated Phule-Shahu-Ambedkar Library in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj khour.
Darshan Laoch JKAS, Finance director was chief guest on this occasion. He threw light on the life and mission of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj and Bharat Ratan Baba sahib Dr B R Ambedkar. While addressing the gathering he said that education is a must for overall development and upliftment of marginalized communities. He donated liberally for the establishment of the Library.
While speaking on this occasion Sham Lal Basson President All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch and General Secretary Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bahu Fort Jammu said that Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj was not only Ruhani Rehbar but he was a great Samajik Yodha who fought for the eradication of social evils and stressed for unity among samaj.
Guru ji said “Saadh Sangat Mil Rahiye Madho Jesse Madhup Makhira”. Guru ji said we should live like honey bee’s.Basson further said that the Birth day of Dr B R Ambedkar is celebrated as ‘World Knowledge Day” as declared by the United Nations Organisations. Statue of Baba Saheb was installed at UNESCO HQ in Paris and Ambedkar Jyanti was celebrated. Statue of Baba Saheb Dr B R Ambedkar was installed at Columbia university in America and declared that Baba Saheb and declared as “Greatest Scholar of the world.” “Statue of Baba Saheb has also been installed at London School of economics and declared Baba Saheb as Maker of the Universe.
Students from Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Godhan presented cultural items depicting life and mission of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj and Baba sahib Dr B R Ambedkar. The students delivered speeches on the life and mission of Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj.
While speaking on this occasion prof C L Shivgotra spokesperson of All J&K Guru Ravi Dass Sabha H O Krishna Nagar Jammu said that we should follow the teachings of Sant Shiromani Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj. He also declared to donate One computer for the newly opened Library in the premises of Gurudwara Shri Guru Ravi Dass ji Maharaj Khour. Master Ashok Basson president Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Bomal, Sanjay Kumar President Shri Guru Ravi Dass Sabha Tacherwan, Pandit Ashok Kumar from Bomal, Girdhari lal from Lehar delivered speeches on this occasion.
Ravi Kumar, general secretary of Sabha, conducted the stage . Students who delivered speeches were honoured. Different teams such as the Langar team headed by Babu Ram, Ladies Sewadar, students who served water were honoured on this occasion.
The team of Bhim Kranti Sena was honoured on this occasion. Angel and Adv Shashi Bhushan also spoke on this occasion.
