Shri Vasuki Naag Kailash Yatra organized by Dharmarth Trust concludes

BHADERWAH, Sep 13: With the blessings of Shri Vasuki Naag ji Maharaj, the Shri Vasuki Naag ji Kailash Yatra 2023 Bhaderwah organized by the J&K Dharmarth Trust concluded successfully here today.

The ceremonial Puja was performed by Ashok Sharma, a retired IPS officer and Secretary of J&K Dharmarth Trust by offering Halwa Bhog to Shri Vasuki Naag ji Maharaj and Pagris to Chelas at the revered Shri Vasuki Nag Ji Mandir, Gatha Bhaderwah.

This Puja, held on September 11, 2023, marked the commencement of the Yatra and sought blessings for the prosperity of Bhaderwah’s cultural heritage. The rituals of Holy Mace were performed in a traditional manner.

One of the highlights of this pilgrimage was the invaluable contribution of the Bajantris, traditional folk musicians of Bhaderwah, who played an integral role in making the Yatra successful. Their melodious tunes resonated through the picturesque landscapes, enhancing the spiritual experience for all participants.

On the instructions of Hon’ble Chairman Trustee and Trustees, the Secretary has personally inspected the meticulous planning and execution undertaken by the Trust’s management, ensuring the comfort and safety of the participants.
He said that with the cooperation and support of District Administration Doda and people of the area, the Yatra has been successfully concluded. “The efforts of District Administration Doda for providing essential necessities such as food, water, and electricity at Kailash Kund, located at a staggering altitude of 14,500 feet, were instrumental in ensuring the Yatra’s success and the well-being of all participants,” he added.

Expressing his vision for the Kailash Yatra, he emphasised that this Yatra should be upgraded and promoted to the national level, much like the AmarnathYatra and Kedarnath Yatra, to promote the cultural heritage of Bhaderwah. “The conducting of Yatra and participation of devotees in Yatra rituals symbolizes the sense of brotherhood, secularism and compassion between several communities,” he added.

Ashok Sharma said that the Dharmarth Trust is committed to preserving and enhancing this sacred tradition, inviting devotees from far and wide to experience the divinity and cultural richness of Bhaderwah.
