Jammu, September 20, 2025: After its remarkable unveiling in Srinagar, Snowtales—Jammu & Kashmir’s first indigenous OTT platform—returned to Jammu with renewed vigor and a deeply symbolic celebration. This latest event carried not only the flame of cinema and storytelling but also the spirit of resilience, heritage, and belonging, dedicated in particular to the Kashmiri Pandit community.
The cultural evening, hosted at the Writers’ Club, Abhinav Theatre, Jammu, turned into a confluence of art, memory, and aspiration. The gathering was much more than a formal launch; it became a platform for reclaiming silenced narratives, honoring cultural roots, and celebrating the unbroken bond between people and their homeland. Filmmakers, writers, artists, and members of the community filled the space with their presence, lending warmth and strength to the vision of Snowtales.
Founded by Varun Sharma (CEO & Founder) and Saajan Kerni (COO & Founder), Snowtales is envisioned as a cultural revolution rather than merely an entertainment platform. Both sons of J&K, the co-founders have set out to take the stories, struggles, and talent of their homeland beyond geographical boundaries to the global stage.
Varun Sharma, an accomplished filmmaker and storyteller with vast experience in cinema and digital media, described Snowtales as “born from the soil of J&K.” Speaking at the event, he said, “This is about giving dignity to our stories, our culture, and our people. The love we received in Srinagar was historic, and the blessings we’ve received here in Jammu, especially from the Kashmiri Pandit community, will remain with us forever.”
Adding to this vision, Saajan Kerni emphasized Snowtales as a platform of inclusion and opportunity. “Snowtales is a promise—that no story will be left untold, no voice unheard. What began in Srinagar is now finding deeper roots in Jammu, and together, we are building a cultural bridge for the future,” he shared.
The response at the event reaffirmed the belief that storytelling is both preservation and healing. By showcasing narratives of resilience, loss, hope, and renewal, Snowtales is shaping itself as a medium to protect cultural memory, inspire the youth, and project J&K’s artistic legacy worldwide.
With its celebrations spanning Jammu, Srinagar, and once again Jammu, Snowtales is fast becoming more than an OTT service—it is a movement of identity, pride, and cultural renaissance. For the youth of Jammu & Kashmir, it symbolizes opportunity; for the world, it opens a window into the heart of a land whose stories are as timeless as its mountains and rivers.
