Kathua, 27-03-2024 : Senior AICC leader and the party’s Incharge for Jammu and Kashmir affairs, Bharatsinh Solanki, made damning allegations today, asserting that the Modi government prioritizes the interests of Ambanis, Adanis, and other major corporate entities over the welfare of the nation’s poor. Speaking at a sizable election rally held at the Ram Lila Ground in Kathua, Solanki, a former Union Minister, accused the Modi administration of aligning itself with corporate giants like Adani and Ambani while neglecting the struggles faced by the common people due to inflation and unemployment over the past decade.
Solanki expressed confidence that the public sentiment is inclined towards bidding farewell to the BJP government, both at the central level and in Jammu and Kashmir. He urged the enthusiastic crowd to remain vigilant and engaged until the elections conclude, emphasizing the widespread desire for a substantial change in the country’s political landscape.
Highlighting Ch Lal Singh as a revered leader known for his service to the community, Solanki and JKPCC president Vikar Rasool Wani advocated for Singh’s election, portraying him as a candidate deeply connected with the people across all sections of society.
In his address, Ch Lal Singh vehemently criticized the BJP government and its ministers for their authoritarian and retaliatory approach, which he deemed unprecedented in a democratic setup. Singh recounted instances of individuals, including common citizens, daily wage earners, and contractors, being marginalized and oppressed under the BJP’s tenure.
Singh further lamented the plight of refugees from Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (PoJK) who, despite enduring significant hardships during the partition, are being deprived of their rights to sell the land allotted to them. He condemned the BJP’s governance for exacerbating suffering among various segments of society and vowed to champion the rights of the underprivileged and marginalized.
The rally at Ram Lila Ground witnessed the participation of a multitude of political figures, including AICC Secretary Manoj Yadav, Lal Singh’s wife Kanta Andotra, leaders from the NC, PDP, and Panthers Party, as well as several senior Congress leaders, former ministers, MLAs/MLCs, district presidents, and other prominent party members. Notable attendees included Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Th Balbir Singh, Ved Mahajan, Shabir Khan, Naresh Gupta, and numerous others, underscoring the broad support for the issues raised during the rally.
