Aizawl, Mizoram, Jan 21, 2025: Amit Sharma, a distinguished IAS officer from the AGMUT cadre and a proud son of Jammu & Kashmir has been re-designated as Secretary to the Government of Mizoram. The announcement was made through an official notification issued today by the Government of Mizoram. This recognition follows his promotion to the Selection Grade (Level 13 in the Pay Matrix) of the Indian Administrative Service, as per the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) order dated January 1, 2025.
Amit Sharma has been serving with distinction in Mizoram, where he was previously designated as Special Secretary (Independent Charge) for the Information, Communications & Technology (ICT) and Cooperation Departments. During his tenure, Sharma has played a pivotal role in spearheading key initiatives, driving innovation, and elevating the performance of these departments to new heights. In the same notification, another IAS officer, Zorammuana, who was serving as Special Secretary (Independent Charge) of the Planning & Statistics Department, was also re-designated as Secretary to the Government of Mizoram.
