NEW DELHI, May 13: Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi visited Medanta Hospital on Wednesday for a routine medical examination, according to police sources.
Officials said the former Congress president arrived at the hospital in Gurugram for a scheduled check-up and was expected to return shortly after completion of the medical assessment.
A police officer confirmed her visit and stated that there was no emergency situation linked to the hospital trip.
The hospital administration did not issue any official statement regarding the visit or medical details.
Sonia Gandhi, one of the senior-most leaders of the Congress party, has occasionally undergone regular health evaluations in recent years under medical supervision.
