Sonu Nigam Kicks Off Emotional ‘Deewana Tera’ Tour in Guwahati, Pays Tribute to Zubeen Garg

The iconic singer kicks off his India tour with an emotional first show in Assam, celebrating his bond with the late music legend.

Assam, Dec 10 : Sometimes a concert transcends music, becoming a memory, a shared heartbeat, and a celebration of emotion. That is the vision behind Sonu Nigam’s much anticipated ‘Deewana Tera’ Tour, which begins with its inaugural solo show in Guwahati on December 14.

Announcing the event on Instagram, Sonu wrote, “Dec 14. A night Guwahati will remember forever. Sonu Nigam live for Deewana Tera!” The singer revealed that starting the tour in Guwahati holds deep personal significance, as the city evokes his close connection with late Assamese music icon Zubeen Garg. “Watching the people of Assam honour Zubeen left me deeply moved. I’ve never seen such pure love and respect,” he shared.

Following Guwahati, the tour will move to Indore, Jaipur, and Lucknow, with each city set to feature specially curated performances spanning Sonu’s romantic ballads and high energy hits. Earlier this year, he announced another nationwide tour, ‘Satrangi Re’, covering Mumbai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Pune, Shillong, and Delhi-NCR.

A stalwart of Indian music, Sonu Nigam continues to mesmerize audiences with his versatile repertoire from soulful tracks like ‘Abhi Mujh Mein Kahin’ to patriotic anthems such as ‘Sandese Aate Hain’, and crowd favourites including ‘Bole Chudiyan’.
