Special Judge, CBI awarded sentence of four years rigorous imprisonment to then Dy. Chief cabin crew of Air India

The Special Judge-III, CBI Cases, Ernakulam (Kerala) has sentenced Shri Himat Kumar Inder Singh Obhan, then Deputy Chief Cabin Crew of Air India to undergo four years Rigorous Imprisonment with fine of Rs. Rs. 25,000/-.

CBI had registered a case on 28.08.2017 against the accused on the allegations that Shri Himat Kumar Inder Singh Obhan while on duty as Cabin Crew in Air India Flight No. AI-964 from Jeddah International Airport to Cochin International Airport abused his official position and kept 400 grams gold bars, worth Rs. 11,92,000/- (approx.), by hiding the same in a wallet in his pocket.

After investigation, a charge sheet was filed in the Court of Special Judge -III, CBI Cases, Ernakulam on 22.12.2017 against the accused.

The Trial Court found the accused guilty and convicted him.
