Srinagar, Nov 28: Srinagar Police, assisted by Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel, launched an early morning cordon and search operation (CASO) in Lal Chowk on Friday, officials said.
The operation was part of intensified security measures in the bustling commercial centre. Multiple teams carried out surprise inspections across several hotels and guest houses to verify visitor records and ensure adherence to security protocols.
The search operation continued for several hours. However, officials confirmed that no suspicious activity was detected till the last reports were received.
Authorities added that such checks are routinely carried out to maintain vigilance and ensure a secure environment in the city.
