Uttarakhand now has the nation's hardest anti-copying law in effect. The Uttarakhand Competitive Examination has received approval from Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh.

13-02-2023 :   Uttarakhand now has the nation’s toughest anti-copying law in effect. The Uttarakhand Competitive Examination (Measures for Prevention and Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Ordinance 2023 has been adopted by Governor Lieutenant General Gurmeet Singh. As a result, the Anti-Copying Law is referred to as the most comprehensive anti-copying law in the nation. This follows the UKPSC paper leak, which caused the exam for about 1.4 lakh applicants for government jobs to be canceled.

This Anti-Copying Law contains a provision that allows for the copycat mafia to be sentenced to a fine of 10 crore rupees as well as life in prison or ten years. Additionally, there is a clause that allows for the attachment of the copying mafia’s property.

Strict action will also be taken against students who leak papers under the Uttarakhand Anti-Copying Law. The Act has a clause stating that a student will face a 10-year suspension if they leak paper during recruitment exams or pass them by cheating.

This means that a student who is caught engaging in this behaviour will be barred from appearing in any recruitment exams for ten years. They won’t be permitted to take the recruitment exams. Such students will be subject to the Gangster Act.

Additionally, their property will be seized. This law will apply to students who dishonestly pass the test by buying the question paper by leaking it.
