SRINAGAR, Sep 22: Bharatiya Janata Party leader Sunil Sharma on Monday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, accusing him of avoiding responsibility and failing to address critical governance issues.
Speaking to the media, Sharma alleged that Abdullah creates narratives suggesting he manages transfers and administrative matters but retreats when it comes to implementing real governance.
“He always claims he has no powers when it’s time to act. These are failed leaders who show no concern for the poor. Now, the real competition is about development, not excuses,” Sharma said.
The BJP leader also highlighted ongoing relief efforts for flood victims, noting that the Government of India is reviewing compensation measures. “We remain committed to our promises and will ensure that aid reaches those affected,” he added.
Sharma’s comments come amid growing political debates over accountability and development in Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring BJP’s stance on governance and administrative efficiency.
