Initiative aims to strengthen judicial cooperation and offer international exposure to young legal professionals.

New Delhi, Jan 5: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Monday announced that the Supreme Court has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the apex court of Bhutan to facilitate the exchange of young legal professionals.

Introducing the clerks to the courtroom, the CJI described them as “young and bright” and said they would be assigned to work in different courts during their tenure.

“We have entered into an MoU with the Supreme Court of Bhutan. Two law clerks will be paid according to our honorarium and will be here for three months. We will take care of their travel, and they will be working in different courts,” the CJI said.
