Srinagar, 29 July: The Chief Spokesperson of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, Tanvir Sadiq said that there is an abundance of sporting talent in Jammu and Kashmir and NC is dedicated to eliminating obstacles hindering the advancement of sports in the region.
He said this while flagging off the 13 member team from the Dal lake interiors, participating in the renowned Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race to be held in the Punnamanda lake near Allapuzzha in Kerala.
This Boat race has its origin in Kerala’s district Alappuzha and was inaugurated in 1952 by Prime Minister Pandit JL Nehru.
Extolling the team members, Tanvir said, “Proud to see our talented rowers representing us in this premier event. There is an abundance of talent in Kashmir just waiting to be nurtured and guided. The region is home to some truly exceptional individuals who possess remarkable skills and abilities. With the right support and direction, these talents have the potential to shine brightly and make a significant impact on the world. It is crucial that we recognize and cultivate the potential of these individuals, helping them to reach their full potential and achieve great success. Our party is committed to work in that direction.”
