Industrial Fraternity Backs New BBIA Leadership for 2026-28

Jammu, 27-06-2026: The elections of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association, BBIA, for the term 2026-28 were held on June 27, 2026, at BBIA Bhawan in a transparent and orderly manner. The election process was conducted under the supervision of Election Commissioners Sh. Annil Suri, Former President, BBIA, Sh. Ajay Bansal and Sh. Sanjeev Nanda.

The election witnessed an impressive participation of members, reflecting the democratic spirit and active involvement of the industrial fraternity. Out of a total of 277 eligible votes, 273 votes were cast, indicating a strong turnout and keen interest among members in shaping the future leadership of the Association.

In a closely contested election for the post of President, Sh. Tarun Singla emerged victorious by securing 137 votes. He defeated Sh. Rahul Bansal, who polled 135 votes, while one vote was declared invalid. The narrow margin reflected the competitive nature of the contest and the strong engagement of the members in the leadership selection process.

For the post of Senior Vice President, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra was elected after securing 154 votes against Sh. Nitin Nagpal, who received 116 votes. Three votes were declared invalid in this category. Sh. Nitin Sood was elected as Vice President with 150 votes, defeating Sh. Suhail Sharma, who secured 119 votes. Four votes were declared invalid for the post.

Sh. Sachin Kapoor was elected as General Secretary by securing 144 votes against Sh. Rishi Kant Gupta, who received 125 votes. Four votes were declared invalid. For the post of Secretary, Sh. Abhishek Mahajan registered victory by polling 143 votes against Sh. Arjun Kerni, who secured 123 votes. Seven votes were declared invalid in this contest.

Sh. Vivek Singhal was elected as Treasurer with a decisive mandate, securing 163 votes against Sh. Angad Gupta, who polled 108 votes. Two votes were declared invalid for the post of Treasurer.

The successful conduct of the BBIA elections underlines the commitment of the Association towards democratic functioning, institutional discipline and participatory decision-making. The newly elected team is expected to work for strengthening industrial growth, addressing the concerns of entrepreneurs and promoting a more responsive and progressive industrial environment in the Bari Brahmana industrial area.
