Team India Clinches Triple Silver as Shruti Vora Shines in Equestrian Dressage

Shruti Vora bags three silver medals at 2025 Asian Continental Championships, showcasing India’s growing prowess in international equestrian sport.

Pattaya, Thailand – Team India made headlines at the 2025 Asian Continental Championships as Shruti Vora delivered an extraordinary performance in equestrian dressage, securing three silver medals aboard her horse, Magnanimous (No. 209).

In the Dressage Freestyle to Music Individual Championship, Vora impressed judges with a poised and technically strong performance, earning a score of 73.800% to claim silver. The gold went to Sarah R. of China on Geniaal with 79.180%, while Thailand’s Pakjira Thongpakdi on Samira O took bronze with 72.505%.

In the Team Dressage Championship, India demonstrated consistency and skill to finish second with a cumulative score of 204.059 under coach Sudhir Singh Ahlawat. The team included Gaurav Pundir on Elector (66.059%), Divyakriti Singh on Improve (67.118%), and Vora on Magnanimous (70.882%). Gold was claimed by Team Thailand (205.853), while Hong Kong earned bronze (203.235).

Vora also showcased her excellence in the Intermediate Dressage Individual event, scoring 70.882% for another silver medal. Sarah Rao of China on Geniaal won gold (71.382%), and Jacqueline Wing Ying Siu of Hong Kong on Izonik earned bronze (69.588%).

A product of Mumbai’s Amateur Riders’ Club (ARC), Vora credits her foundational training there for her international success. ARC has produced several notable Indian riders, including Hriday Chheda, Yashaan Khambata, Kevean, and Zahan Setalvad, who represented India at previous Asian Games.
