Kolkata based Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd announced on Friday that it has secured a significant order worth Rs 86.85 crore from UltraTech Cement Ltd. The contract involves the supply of specialized freight wagons and solar-powered brake vans for UltraTech’s Maihar and Sarlanagar plants in Madhya Pradesh.

“This repeat order reflects Texmaco’s engineering excellence and our commitment to sustainable logistics solutions,” said Managing Director Sudipta Mukherjee.

Alongside the order, Texmaco confirmed leadership continuity with the reappointment of Indrajit Mookerjee as Executive Director and Vice Chairman for one year from April 2026, and Mukherjee’s extension as Managing Director for five years from June 2026, subject to shareholder approval.

The company highlighted that its robust order pipeline across cement, steel, coal, and infrastructure sectors positions it well to benefit from India’s ongoing rail and infrastructure expansion.
