Three JKAS Officers Relieved from Ladakh, One Slated for Repatriation in December

Ladakh Administration orders relieving of JKAS officers; fresh postings to follow in J&K

Leh, Sept 18: The Ladakh Administration has ordered the relieving of three Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers from their duties in the Union Territory, directing them to report to the General Administration Department (GAD) of J&K for fresh postings.

As per the official order, Sandeep Singh, Under Secretary, General Administration Department; Akshay Sharma, Under Secretary, Home & Vigilance Department; and Mohit Sharma, Under Secretary, Forest, Ecology & Environment, Rural Development & Panchayati Raj, and Science & Technology, will stand relieved with effect from September 25, 2025.

In addition, Vivek Rattan, Under Secretary in the Lt Governor’s Secretariat, will be relieved as per the Lt Governor’s orders, while Rehmatullah Butt, Assistant Director, Employment Department, Leh, will be relieved on December 31, 2025. From January 1, 2026, Anjil Singh will hold the additional charge of Assistant Director, Employment Department.
