Tony seeks bifurcation of ration cards, resumption of sugar, kerosene supply

JAMMU, Jun 12: Taranjit Singh Tony, DDC Member Suchetgarh on Monday sought immediate bifurcation of ration cards and resumption of sugar and kerosene supply through the aforesaid cards.

The DDC Member was addressing a gathering, after inaugurating development work at Village Fathu Chak in Suchetgarh.

Tony slammed LG Manoj Sinha’s administration especially the Food, Civil Supply and Consumer Affairs Department for reduction in ration quota and not allowing the bifurcation of ration cards, which was assured by the BJP. He said that people by now have understood that this promise by the Saffron Party was another Jumla like that of Rs 15 lakh to every household, 2 crore jobs every year, etc.

The DDC member said that people are facing a dearth of ration commodities as the concerned department is phlegmatic and is not doing enough to provide the promised quantity of ration to the beneficiaries. He also raised the issue of non-supply of sugar and kerosene through ration depots and demanded resumption of the same henceforth.  He said that there is no logic in stopping the supply of sugar and kerosene oil as these are also the essential commodities and the government should resume both these entities.

Tony said that BJP did exactly opposite to what it had promised in the run up to elections. He said that the Saffron Party should get ready for the rout in all the political contests in the coming time as it has deceived the electorate belonging to all shades of life and of all the regions.
