Tragic Loss: CRPF Inspector Falls in Udhampur Terror Ambush, Forces Intensify Search for Militants

 JAMMU, Aug 19: A CRPF inspector was martyred in a terrorist attack on a patrol party in Udhampur district, Jammu and Kashmir, on Monday, according to officials. The incident occurred around 3:30 p.m. in the remote Dudu area of Basantgarh, where terrorists targeted a joint patrol of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the Special Operations Group (SOG) of the local police.

The CRPF inspector, who was part of the 187th battalion, was struck by a bullet during the attack. Despite efforts to transport him to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. The terrorists managed to escape the scene after a strong retaliation from the patrolling party.

In response to the attack, reinforcements have been dispatched to the area, and a search operation is underway to locate and neutralize the militants responsible for the attack.
