Training on Yoga for District Master Trainers of Kashmir Division held under AYUSH

SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 26:  A three-day cascade training program on Yoga was organized here today for District Master Trainers of AYUSH Health and Wellness Centers (H&WCs) of Kashmir division under AYUSH Health & Wellness Scheme.

The training was imparted by State Yoga Master Trainers from the Kashmir division including Dr. Shaheen Mir, Dr. Bilal Ahmad Wani, and Dr.Ruhi Tabassum.

A special lecture on the importance of yoga by Divisional Nodal officer H&WCs Kashmir, Dr.Mushtaq Ahmad Parray, and  Dr.Mudasir Khazir (MD) delivered a lecture on Riyazat and its role in health promotion.

The motive of this training program was to educate and orient the CHOs for ensuring on-ground implementation of Yoga practices at AYUSH Health & Wellness Centers.

Dr. Mohan Singh, Director ISM Jammu, and Kashmir delivered a valedictory speech through video conferencing, wherein he highlighted the importance of the Yoga component of the Health and wellness scheme and stressed upon early functionality of all AYUSH HWCs of J&K.

Meanwhile, the training started with an inaugural speech by Dr. Syed Haider Shah, Deputy Director ISM Kashmir.

The programme consisted of practical sessions of different asanas of yoga, audiovisuals and lectures on different topics on yoga.

At the end of the training, certificates were distributed among the participants.
