Trump Escalates Threats, Says US Yet to Begin Major Strikes on Iran’s Bridges and Power Grid

US President hints at targeting bridges and power plants, while reports suggest Iran still retains significant military capabilities

US, Apr 03 : Donald Trump has issued a fresh warning indicating that American forces have not yet begun fully dismantling what remains of Iran’s infrastructure, suggesting that critical assets such as bridges and electric power plants could be targeted next.

In a post shared on his social media platform, Trump emphasized the strength of the US military and claimed that further action against Iran was imminent. He also asserted that new leadership in Iran understood the urgency of the situation and needed to act quickly.

The remarks come shortly after Trump declared that key components of Iran’s military including its navy and air force had already been severely weakened. He described recent US operations as a decisive success, stating that major strategic targets had been effectively neutralized.

However, intelligence findings reported by CNN present a more nuanced assessment. According to sources, Iran continues to maintain a considerable portion of its military strength. Nearly half of its missile launch systems are reportedly still functional, along with a large number of operational drones.

The report also highlights that Iran’s coastal defence systems, particularly those positioned near the Strait of Hormuz, remain largely intact. These systems are critical for monitoring and potentially disrupting maritime activity in one of the world’s most important oil transit routes.

Additionally, some of Iran’s remaining military infrastructure is believed to be located underground or in fortified positions, making it difficult to assess the full extent of the damage. Intelligence estimates suggest that around 50 percent of the country’s drone capabilities are still operational.

The divergence between official statements and intelligence reports underscores the uncertainty surrounding the actual impact of recent military actions, as tensions in the region continue to escalate.
