Trump Says He’s “Not Happy” With Iran Nuclear Talks, Signals Tough Stance Ahead

Trump Signals Frustration Over Iran Nuclear Talks, Says Deal Must Be ‘Meaningful’

Washington, Feb 28: US President Donald Trump on Friday expressed dissatisfaction with the progress of negotiations with Tehran, saying any agreement must clearly prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons.

Speaking at a gathering in Texas, Trump said his administration faces a “big decision” regarding the future course of action. “We’re not exactly happy with the way they’re negotiating. They cannot have nuclear weapons,” he stated, emphasizing that a final decision has not yet been made.

The remarks come amid the Trump Iran nuclear talks following the third round of discussions held in Geneva on Thursday. The negotiations are part of ongoing diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions between Washington and Tehran, even as the United States has increased its military presence in the Middle East.

Trump stressed that any potential agreement must be substantial and enforceable. While noting recent US military actions targeting Iran’s nuclear capabilities, he said he would prefer a peaceful resolution but described Iranian negotiators as “very difficult” and “very dangerous.”

“We want a deal, but it has to be meaningful,” he said, adding that further discussions were scheduled. His comments also follow warnings issued by several countries advising their citizens to leave Iran amid concerns of possible US strikes.

The situation remains fluid as diplomatic channels stay open alongside heightened regional tensions.
