17-03-2023 : Twitter has announced the closure of two out of its three offices in India, citing financial constraints after being acquired by Elon Musk. The Delhi and Mumbai offices will be shut down, and employees will be directed to work from home. The social media giant had earlier let go of almost 90% of its Indian workforce, consisting of over 200 employees.
While the office in Bangalore continues to function, only essential personnel have been instructed to report to work. Twitter has also shut down offices in San Francisco and London previously, citing high rental costs as a reason for closure.
