Two scientists of Swami Ram Himalayan University(SRHU) are among the top two percent of scientists in the world

Rishikesh, 05 November (H.C.). Dr. Prakash Keshavaya and Dr. CS Nautiyal, serving at Swami Ram Himalayan University (SRHU), have been included in the top two percent of scientists in the world. The ranking was released by Standford University in California, USA, after analyzing the data of the world’s top scientists.
Vice-Chancellor of SRHU, Dr. Vijay Dhasmana said that this is a major achievement for the university. Students studying here are taking advantage of the experiences of these two top scientists. The Standford University of California primarily analyzed databases of scientists in 22 research fields. It involved more than one lakh scientist from all over the world including seven scientists from India in the field of Urology and Nephrology. It named Dr. Prakash Keshavaya of SRHU and a total of 13 scientists from India in the field of microbiology, while Dr. CS Nautiyal has been named among the top two percent of Indian scientists in the world. 
Dr. Prakash Keshavaya and Dr. CS Nautiyal said that Standford University did not just base the number of research papers for this ranking, but it mainly consisted of Quality of Publication, Journal Impact (publication in a renowned journal), Research Paper. The citation was done in other research. After doing B. Tech Mechanical Engineering from IIT Madras did a Master of Science (SS) in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, USA. He then did his PhD in the field of biomedical research. He also did his MS in physiology from the University of Minnesota.
After 15 years of academic research, Dr. Prakash Keshavaya became the Vice President of Backster Healthcare Company based in the city of Chicago, USA. During this time he published 130 papers and took nine patents to his name. Dr. Keshavaya has been awarded several international prestigious awards including a merit scholarship by the Government of India National Merit Scholarship, IIT Madras. Dr. Keshavaya is a follower of HIHT founder Dr. Swami Ram. Himalayan Hospital contributed significantly in setting up a dialysis unit at Jollygrant. Currently serving as a member of SRHU Board of Administrators and Finance Advisor. In addition, medical postgraduates are providing guidance to students in academic and research activities.
Dr. CS Nautiyal received the honor in the field of microbiology, serving as a Scientific Advisor at SRHU. Dr. Nautiyal did his MSc in Botany in 1977. After this, he did his Ph.D. in the field of microbiology. Dr. Nautiyal was also the Chancellor of Doon University. He was also a production manager at the American Biotech Company in the US. Dr. Nautiyal is also honored with National Awards in the field of Research and Development. The publication of about 123 research papers and more than 40 patents are registered in his name.
Dr. Nautiyal said that we are planning to strengthen the research and development work of Swami Ram Himalayan University. Patents, publications, and technologies are expected to be created in the next 2–5 years. About 15 projects have been identified in the fields of Medical, Yoga, Engineering, Rural Development Institute, Ayurveda, and Faculty of Biological Sciences. Project Results To enhance the quality of life of cancer patients, wearable health equipment, the effects of yoga on the nervous system of the brain and health-related quality of life in chronic diseases, prevention of cardiovascular diseases and type-2 diabetes, stress Ayurvedic medicinal herbs will be useful for management. This would earn the university an international reputation.(HC)
