Based on specific information, a team of PS Basantgarh led by Insp. Kulbir Singh Choudhary SHO PS Basantgarh under the supervision of Sh. Rajinder Singh Katoch Addl. Sp Udhampur and Sh. Garu Ram SDPO Ramnagar conducted a raid in the house of Yash Pal S/O Hem Raj R/O Upper Balota Basantgarh and succeeded in the recovery of 05 liters illicit desi liquor and around 80 liters Lahan from their house and also apprehended accused persons namely Yash Pal S/O Hem Raj R/O Upper Balota Basantgarh along with Ravi Kumar S/O Tirth Ram Ram R/O Dheeran Upper Balota* on spot.
The recovered liquor has been seized and Lahan destroyed on the spot. In this regard, a case under the relevant section of law stands registered at Police Station Basantgarh against the said persons and investigation is under progress.
