NEW DELHI, Sept 4: The National Testing Agency has released the examination city intimation slip for candidates appearing in the UGC NET June 2026 re-examination for three subjects, giving applicants details about the cities where they will take the upcoming tests.
The re-examination covers the English, Commerce and Sociology papers. The English and Commerce examinations are scheduled for September 9, while the Sociology paper will be conducted on September 10.
Candidates can use the city information to make arrangements for travel and examination-day logistics. The city slip is intended to inform candidates of the allotted examination city and should not be treated as the final admit card.
The NTA has already announced the fresh examinations after deciding to reconduct the three affected papers. The UGC NET examination is used to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor positions, as well as admission to PhD programmes.
Candidates have been advised to regularly monitor the official examination portal for further announcements, including the release of admit cards and other examination-related instructions.
The latest update comes shortly before the scheduled re-tests, making it important for candidates to verify their examination details and prepare according to the revised schedule.
