UGC NET June 2026 Answer Key to Be Released by NTA on August 16

Candidates can check the provisional answers and submit objections online before the final key is prepared for evaluation.

New Delhi, Aug 16: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to release the provisional answer key for the June 2026 UGC NET examination on Sunday, giving candidates an opportunity to verify their responses and raise objections against the answers provided.

The provisional key will be made available through the official NTA examination portal. Candidates will need to log in using their examination credentials to access the answer key and response sheet.

After downloading the documents, applicants can compare the answers recorded during the examination with those provided in the provisional key. Candidates who believe that any answer is incorrect will be able to submit challenges within the specified objection window.

The NTA is also expected to publish the objection procedure and applicable fee details along with the provisional key. Challenges submitted within the prescribed period will be reviewed before the agency prepares the final answer key.

The final key will subsequently form the basis for evaluating candidates’ responses and determining their results.

The June 2026 examination was conducted between June 22 and June 30, with an additional examination held on July 5. The answer key release is therefore an important step in the post-examination process for thousands of candidates seeking eligibility for teaching and research opportunities in higher education.

Along with UGC NET, provisional answer keys for other examinations, including CSIR-NET, ICAR AIEEA (PG) and AICE (PhD), are also scheduled to be released.

Candidates have been advised to regularly check the NTA’s official examination portal for updates concerning objections, the final answer key and subsequent result related announcements.
