UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 07: Under Trial Review Committee (UTRC) Chairman, Y.P. Bourney, (Pr. District & Sessions Judge Udhampur-Chairman District Legal Services Authority) and Secretary District Legal Services Authority Rajni Sharma (Sub-Judge) today visited the District Jail Udhampur.
The Committee inspected the Barracks, interacted with the Jail inmates -under trial and inquired about the facilities being made available to them viz quality of food, lodging and other amenities. The Committee especially inquired and personally checked the sanitation conditions in the Jail.
On finding some jail inmates reasonably qualified/ talented, the Committee asked them to educate other inmates /Prisoners. The Committee advised the inmates to make best use of their time by involving into Positive activities
The Committee also met with female Jail inmates and suggested them to keep themselves involved in Positive activities and make best use of their time. Committee also directed the Jail Authorities to take best care of all the Jail inmates and also initiate/ undertake some programme/ activities for their well being.
