JAMMU November 25th : Accusing BJP government of fudging the employment figures in J&K, Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President, JKNC, Jammu, take a jibe by claiming that comedy serial ‘Mungeri Lal Ke Sapne’ seems to be the source of employment figure
es concerning J&K as changes announced are momentous but unbelievable.
In a statement issued to media persons raising a big question mark over the latest figures of unemployment in J&K, the senior NC leader said that government seems to be living in a fool’s paradise assuming that the people of the country are fools as it wanted them to believe something which is next to impossible.
Referring to latest figures shared by the government wherein it was stated that Jammu and Kashmir’s current unemployment rate has decreased to around four per cent from 5.2 per cent in the financial year 2021-22, he said that not much time has passed when the government claimed that UT has secured the third spot on the list of highest unemployment rates in India, with an alarming 23.1 percent rate.
“ In July only, Union minister of state for home Nityanand Rai while responding to a question by Congress MP Akhilesh Prasad Singh, who asked about unemployment rate in the union territory, has said that the unemployment rate in Jammu and Kashmir was 18.3 percent”, said Rattan Lal, adding that it is strange that with several recruitment processes entangled in scams and CBI enquires, the government has dramatically achieved such a gigantic target although the journey of UT’s unemployment rate from over 23 per cent to nearly 4 per cent remained a clandestine affair as no one in the country knows that how this magical figure has been achieved by the government which did nothing with regard to recruitment except lip service.
Rattan Lal Gupta said only a magic wand can do what has been made public by the incumbent government that too without doing anything on ground in J&K. “Whatever has been declared is elusive and nowhere on ground as it seems that this is another attempt by the government to fool the people through jumbling of words and manipulating figures as both need no real work on ground”, he maintained.
