15-06-2023 : Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to visit Jammu on June 26 to participate in a security conclave organized by the BJP. The conclave is being held as part of the party’s Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan, which marks the completion of the NDA government’s nine years in power. The visit comes ahead of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, an important pilgrimage in the region.
According to party sources, the security conclave will bring together security experts and media personalities to discuss various security-related issues in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. The event is seen as a significant initiative by the J&K unit of the BJP to address concerns and find solutions related to security matters.
This visit will be Rajnath Singh’s second in less than two months in the region. Previously, he visited the border district of Rajouri on May 6, just a day after a terrorist attack in the Kandi area resulted in the death of five Army soldiers. The Defence Minister’s presence during such critical times highlights the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the region.
The BJP has been actively engaging with the people of Jammu and Kashmir through its Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyaan. Union Home Minister Amit Shah is also scheduled to visit Jammu on June 23 to address a public rally as part of this initiative.
The series of visits by Union Ministers, including Smriti Irani, Hardeep Singh Puri, Ajay Bhatt, and Arjun Ram Meghwal, demonstrate the party’s concerted efforts to connect with the public and address their concerns.
