UP, Feb 27 : The Uttar Pradesh government has secured a ₹200 crore agreement to strengthen investment in modern rail infrastructure, marking a major step towards upgrading the state’s transport network.
Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya formalised the partnership during his visit to Germany, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with RailOne GmbH at the company’s manufacturing facility.
The collaboration focuses on introducing advanced rail track systems and state of the art concrete sleeper production technologies in Uttar Pradesh. The visiting delegation reviewed cutting-edge manufacturing processes and assessed international quality standards adopted by the German firm.
Officials held detailed discussions with company representatives to explore technology transfer, innovation driven production methods, and global best practices that can be adapted for the state’s rail expansion plans.
The initiative aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s push to modernise core infrastructure and attract international partnerships to accelerate development across Uttar Pradesh.
