US Proposes 15-Point Peace Plan to Iran to End Ongoing War: Report

Proposal reportedly includes nuclear rollback, sanctions relief and maritime security measures amid ongoing conflict.

WASHINGTON: The United States has reportedly presented Iran with a 15-point proposal aimed at ending the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, with the plan focusing on nuclear restrictions, missile controls and regional stability.

According to multiple media reports, the proposal was conveyed to Iranian officials through Pakistan. While full details remain undisclosed, sources indicate that the framework addresses key concerns including Iran’s nuclear programme, ballistic missile capabilities and security of vital maritime routes.

The plan is said to call for Iran to dismantle major nuclear facilities, halt uranium enrichment within its territory and suspend missile development activities. It also reportedly urges Tehran to scale back support for regional proxy groups and ensure the uninterrupted functioning of strategic waterways such as the Strait of Hormuz.

In return, the proposal offers significant incentives, including the lifting of nuclear-related sanctions and international support for a monitored civilian nuclear programme. The US has also reportedly indicated willingness to remove the “snapback” sanctions mechanism, which allows for automatic reimposition of penalties in case of non-compliance.

Additionally, the plan includes provisions for expanded oversight by the International Atomic Energy Agency, granting inspectors full access to Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

There has been no official confirmation from either side, and it remains unclear whether Israel is part of the proposed agreement.

US President Donald Trump reiterated that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains the central objective, expressing confidence that Tehran would not pursue such capabilities.
