India, Dec 31 : The fourth round of the Vijay Hazare Trophy will get underway at 9:00 am IST on Wednesday, December 31, with matches scheduled across multiple venues in the country.
One of the key attractions of Round 4 will be Yashasvi Jaiswal, who is set to make his debut for Mumbai in their Group C clash against Goa. Mumbai have enjoyed a strong start to the tournament, winning all three of their previous matches, and will look to consolidate their position at the top of the Elite Group standings.
Several other teams have also made impressive starts to the competition. Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Delhi and Bihar have all won their opening three matches and will be aiming to maintain their unbeaten records as the tournament progresses.
The opening rounds of the Vijay Hazare Trophy featured star appearances from senior India batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, who turned out for Delhi and Mumbai respectively. However, both players will not feature further in the tournament as they have begun preparations for the ODI series against New Zealand in January.
Meanwhile, India all-rounder Hardik Pandya is expected to make limited appearances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in January. As part of workload management ahead of the T20 World Cup, Pandya has been rested from the upcoming three-match ODI series against New Zealand.
