Village level vaccination grid established to achieve 100 percent inoculation of age-appropriate groups: DC Reasi

REASI, MAY 24: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Charandeep Singh today said that the District administration has established a vaccination grid to achieve 100 percent inoculation of age-appropriate groups in the district.

Briefing media persons about the covid situation in the district, he gave details about positivity rate, recovery rate, testing, and vaccination. “The daily positivity rate is declining and the recovery rate is increasing, indicating signs of a better situation in the district, ” he added.

Charandeep Singh said that the village level vaccination grid involving 6-7 employees, Asha workers works under the supervision of a senior officer deployed to monitor the progress to ensure 100% vaccination coverage.  He added that the active involvement of DDC, BDC chairpersons, and sarpanches will help in mobilizing the public for vaccination.

Elaborating further, he said the Vaccination is simultaneously on in four different blocks for 45 years and the health department has been directed to complete the vaccination of those left out.  The process to set up 3- bedded isolation centers at the Panchayat level has also been started which would have the facility of Oxygen cylinders and other medicines, he informed. He said that more relaxation in restrictions would be given in the coming days if the situation improves further in the district.

Charandeep Singh urged media, NGOs, and volunteers to motivate and educate the public at their own level for vaccination to make the district free from the Covid pandemic.

Meanwhile, the DC flagged off vehicles to spread awareness on covid vaccination in the rural areas.
