India, Oct 14 : Indian batting legend Virat Kohli returned to India on Tuesday after spending four months overseas, ahead of the national team’s departure for the upcoming ODI series in Australia, starting this Sunday.
After clinching his maiden IPL 2025 title with Royal Challengers Bangalore, Kohli traveled to London with his wife, Anushka Sharma, and their two children. He is set to join the squad in Delhi before the team flies to Perth on Wednesday.
Kohli, who retired from Tests and T20Is earlier this year, has been named in India’s ODI squad for the series against Australia. This marks his first appearance in an India jersey since the Champions Trophy victory in March. He will play under newly appointed ODI captain Shubman Gill, who has taken over the leadership from Rohit Sharma.
