The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, showcased the latest advancements in the livestock sector at World Food India 2025, held from September 25–28 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.
Inaugurated by Minister of State Prof S P Singh Baghel on September 25, the DAHD pavilion brought together 15 innovative startups presenting a range of solutions from livestock based dairy products to advanced technological applications in animal husbandry.
The pavilion featured live demonstrations, interactive displays, and a specially designed “Selfie Point,” drawing significant engagement from visitors. Key government flagship schemes, new initiatives, and technological innovations were highlighted, demonstrating DAHD’s focus on sustainable growth in the livestock and dairy ecosystem.
DAHD also actively participated in the CEO Roundtable at Bharat Mandapam on the opening day, interacting with industry leaders on emerging opportunities and policy support. Additionally, the Department hosted a Knowledge Session on “Sustainable Livestock Production: Emerging Opportunities in Non-Bovine Sector,” exploring avenues for sustainable practices and non-bovine livestock development.
The pavilion witnessed enthusiastic participation from entrepreneurs, innovators, policymakers, and international delegates, serving as a platform for discussions on government schemes, investment opportunities, and future collaborations to advance India’s livestock and dairy sector.
