Yuva Rajput Sabha Demands Statehood Restoration, Warns of Hunger Strike

Jammu, 23-08-2024 : On Friday, the Yuva Rajput Sabha (YRS) organized a significant protest rally in Jammu, advocating for the prompt restoration of statehood for Jammu and Kashmir. The rally, spearheaded by YRS President Vikram Singh, culminated in a strong warning of an indefinite hunger strike if their demands are not met.

The YRS, a non-political organization dedicated to representing the Rajput community in Jammu, has long championed the rights and interests of the Dogras in the region. In a display of unity and resolve, a large number of YRS activists gathered at the statue of Maharaja Hari Singh, the last Dogra ruler, located near the Tawi bridge. The rally was marked by fervent demonstrations supporting their call for the restoration of statehood.

During the event, Singh addressed the crowd, emphasizing the urgency of their cause. “We held this protest to underscore our demand for the restoration of statehood in Jammu and Kashmir,” Singh stated. He further declared, “If the government does not act to restore statehood, we will begin an indefinite hunger strike. We urge all citizens to support our cause.”
