India, Dec 20 : Veteran Bollywood icon Zeenat Aman has once again won hearts with her honesty and humour, as she opened up about being “parented” by her children in a candid social media post on Friday.
Sharing her thoughts with fans, the Dostana actor reflected on reaching a stage in life where her children now guide her especially when it comes to navigating social media. “Is anyone else at that age where their children have started parenting them?” Zeenat asked, striking a chord with many.
The actor revealed that she was recently on the receiving end of a lecture from her children, who urged her to learn how to take better selfies and stop depending on them for Instagram content. Quoting them, she wrote, “Learn to take proper selfies and candid pictures because you’re an Instagram personality, and stop depending on me for this, Ma.”
Zeenat candidly admitted that while the advice was well-meaning, the ‘attitude’ sometimes left her miffed. “I was quite miffed by the attitude, and even more so when the kids proceeded to reject the pictures I then did take over the course of the following week!” she added, noting that the rejected photos were promptly deleted.
The actor went on to share three pictures she requested and uploaded independently including a doodle from rapper and Indian Idol 16 judge Badshah, who she called her “birthday twin”, a warm moment with veteran actor Helen, and a group photo featuring the Indian Idol judges Shreya Ghoshal, Vishal Dadlani, and Badshah.
Inviting fan interaction, Zeenat asked her followers to name the public figure they admire the most and explain why, signing off with her trademark warmth.
The photos were taken during her recent appearance on the sets of Indian Idol Season 16, where she and Helen featured in a special segment celebrating Bollywood legends.
Zeenat Aman’s Instagram posts have earned widespread praise for their authenticity, wit, and reflective tone. On the professional front, she was most recently seen in the web series The Royals, alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ishaan Khatter.
