‘Baahubali: The Epic’ returns, sparks wave of excitement and praise on social media

Re-edited and remastered 224 minute saga mesmerises audiences worldwide as fans celebrate the timeless grandeur of Mahishmati

Mumbai, Oct 31 : After nearly a decade since it first captivated audiences, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ has stormed back into cinemas  and fans are reliving the magic like never before. Movie theatres across the world echoed with cheers on Thursday as eager viewers queued up to witness the re-edited and remastered version of the legendary saga that redefined Indian cinema.

The 224 minute long epic  a cinematic fusion of ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ (2015) and ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ (2017)  has taken social media by storm. Platforms like X (formerly Twitter) were flooded with reactions from fans awestruck by the film’s breathtaking visuals, upgraded VFX, and reimagined storytelling.

Directed and co-edited by SS Rajamouli, and produced by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works, the film stars Prabhas in a dual role alongside Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, Nassar, and Subbaraju.

The story follows Sivudu, a young warrior who discovers his royal lineage and embarks on a daring journey to reclaim Mahishmati’s throne from a tyrant. The re-edited version amplifies the grandeur and emotion of the original, combining the most powerful moments from both films into a single cinematic experience.

Globally released on October 31, 2025, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ had early previews in the USA, UK, and Ireland, where enthusiastic crowds  some even dressed as their favourite Mahishmati characters  filled theatres. Fans praised the seamless blending of old and new scenes, the enhanced sound and visual effects, and the emotional depth that continues to move audiences.

With its powerful performances, awe inspiring battle sequences, and timeless narrative, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ proves that certain stories are immortal.
