Bengaluru Man Arrested for Creating Multiple Fake Accounts to Send Obscene Messages to TV Actor

41 year old Kannada Telugu actress faced months of explicit messages from accused using multiple fake accounts

Bengalur, Nov 4 : In a shocking case of online harassment, Bengaluru police have arrested a 41 year old man for repeatedly sending obscene messages and videos to a popular TV actor through multiple fake social media accounts.

The victim, a well known face in Kannada and Telugu television, filed a complaint after enduring nearly three months of relentless digital abuse. It began when she received a Facebook friend request from a user named ‘Naveenz’. Although she ignored the request, the man managed to send vulgar messages via Messenger daily.

When the actor blocked him, he allegedly created several new accounts to continue sending explicit texts and videos. On November 1, after the harassment escalated, the actor decided to confront him and later approached the police when he refused to stop.

Following swift investigation and technical tracking, the accused was identified as Naveen K Mon, a delivery manager at a multinational technology recruitment firm with offices in major cities such as London, New York, Berlin, and Paris.

He was taken into custody and has been remanded to judicial detention. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to determine if he had targeted other women in a similar manner.
