BJP MP Ravi Kishan Receives Death Threat From Lawrence Bishnoi Gang: ‘Modi And Yogi Will Be Gone’ Warning Issued

Police launch probe after gang linked caller threatens MP’s astrologer, prompting demand for enhanced security

Gorakhpur, Nov 8 — Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP and prominent campaigner for the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, Ravi Kishan, has allegedly received a death threat purportedly issued in the name of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat was reportedly conveyed through a phone message to the MP’s astrologer, Praveen Shastri, who resides in the Gautam Vihar Vistar Colony under the jurisdiction of Ramgarh Tal Police Station.
According to Shastri, he received the threatening call on November 4 from the number 7904161800. During the call, the unidentified caller issued political threats, saying, “This time, both Modi and Yogi will be gone,” and further threatened to “take care of” MP Ravi Kishan, in a chilling warning.
Following the incident, Shastri lodged a formal complaint (tahrir) at the Ramgarh Tal Police Station, after which authorities began an investigation to trace the source of the call and verify the credibility of the threat.
Highlighting the severity of the situation, Shastri urged the government to strengthen the security cover of Ravi Kishan, noting that the MP is actively participating in campaign events across Bihar as a key BJP star campaigner.
Police have confirmed that the matter is under investigation and efforts are underway to determine whether the call originated from individuals linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, known for its involvement in several high-profile criminal activities across the country.
Officials assured that appropriate security measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the MP amid the ongoing election campaign.
